What we do

How we can help in Richmond

In Richmond we're asked most often for regular, deep and end-of-tenancy cleaning, flat-pack assembly and small household jobs, and decluttering before a sale — but everything below is available across TW9 and TW10.

Home cleaning

Weekly, fortnightly or one-off — and the same two people every visit. End of tenancy cleans with the full price list, no guesswork.

From £45 per visit.

Flat-pack assembly & small jobs

Beds, wardrobes, desks and drawers — built properly, first time. Plus the small household jobs that pile up: a door that sticks, a cupboard door out of line, curtains to re-hang.

We assemble free-standing furniture — no drilling, and no plumbing, electrics or gas.

From £60 per visit.

Tech setup

Out of the box and actually working. A new TV tuned with the apps signed in. A router somewhere sensible and every phone in the house connected. A printer that talks to all of it. We set it up, then show you how it works — as many times as you'd like.

From £60 per visit — that's up to an hour of work. Your first visit is £50.

Decluttering & organising

The wardrobe that won't shut. The spare room with the door kept closed. We work through it beside you — what stays, what goes — and put back what's left so it makes sense a month later. Before we leave, the donations are bagged and the collection is booked.

From £135 for a half day.

Our prices are final — no VAT, no call-out fee, and no parking or congestion charges added.

We don't take on gas work, or regulated electrical, plumbing or other specialist jobs. We don't drill into walls, and we don't do gardening yet.

Local knowledge

What we see in Richmond homes

Richmond homes ask for a bit more care than average. Around Richmond Green you've got Georgian townhouses, then Victorian terraces running back from the river, and a lot of period conversions and mansion flats on and around Richmond Hill.

In practice that means careful cleaning around original sash windows and old plaster, and staircases with no lift when a wardrobe or bed has to go up in pieces and be built in the room. Plenty of these homes sit in conservation areas too, so we're careful about what we touch and always ask before we change anything visible.

It's also a very professional, well-travelled area with a lot of rentals. End-of-tenancy cleans come up often, along with flat-pack assembly and dismantling around moves, and decluttering sessions before a home goes on the market. Handy for anyone near Richmond Park, Richmond Green, the riverside or over towards Kew.

Period properties handled gently

Sash windows and old plaster cleaned with a careful hand, especially in conservation areas.

Flats and conversions with stairs

Mansion flats and Hill conversions with no lift. Flat-pack furniture carried up in the box and built in the room.

End-of-tenancy and moves

Lots of professional households and rentals, so move-out cleans, dismantling and decluttering are regular work for us.

About us

Hello — we're your Good Hands

We're a local husband-and-wife team based in Twickenham. We started Good Hands for a simple reason: we kept hearing how hard it is to find someone reliable, friendly and genuinely careful to help around the home — and who turns up when they said they would.

So that's us. You'll always deal with the two of us directly, never a faceless agency. We do the job properly, and we treat your home with the same care we give our own.
